The Bible 'book' = a compendium of fire side tales and fables,

recounted orally for generations by goat herders and primitive tribes from the stone age, until writing was invented,

and then, many different sources, transliterations, and versions were copied and written down.

''The Bible was created during a time where stories were verbally passed down over thousands of years.
Stories constantly morphed and changed over time, and the Bible is a collection of these.

This is why it has the nearly identical flood story from Gilgamesh, and why Jesus has the same characteristics as Dionysus, Osiris, Horus, Mithra, and Krishna.
The contradictions and immorality in the stories are not evidence that God is flawed or evil,
but rather that humans invented him, just like the thousands of other gods that we used to, but no longer believe in.''

..and to answer the questions of the many fears and mysteries of our universe, like 'thunder' and earthquakes, since there was no science yet.

That was the old Testament.

The new Testes is also hearsay since these letters, 'gospels' and stories were written by the loyal faithful, the camp followers,
not by objective historians at that particular time,
or by any contemporary writers,
and these tales were written many years after the supposed events of this mythical Jesus.

There is essentially very little evidence of a Jesus in real documented history.
A couple of spurious Roman reports, and all the rest anecdotal.
...but more importantly ...a jesus' existence is not an issue!

a jesus is irrelevant without a god !

Then, many of these stories, but not all, as many were not chosen,
[ There are more than just four Gospels but only these four were agreed on ],
were compiled for one self-absorbed converted Roman Emperor in his Nicean Council,
for his expressed purpose of conquest
and
control of the people of Europe for his Holy Roman Empire.
He recognised that this was the perfect religion/mythology for the future domination of the populaces.

Half of the stories were ignored by the Nicean Bishops and none have been proven to be based on fact.

This 'Bable' book is backed up by absolutely no facts and no evidence.
It is not proof for any god(s) ....(or of any jesus as a god...)

The fables are intertwined within historical places and people...
eg Egypt and the Pharaohs existed,
whereas Moses and the Exodus did not happen....!

It is a historical novel....
Only!

The Bible book is proof of a book ... ONLY (certainly not evidence of any gods...)

Prove a god!

Brien: you clearly have a 'bee in your bonnet' as they say! I don't have time to address all your comments, but I'm always saddened when people have closed their minds so adamantly to Truth. In my experience it is often because they don't like what they see contained there--as it lives and speaks to the heart of man.
When you speak of 'primitive tribes' you show your bias immediately and what you appear to mean is 'less clever than me.' But of course, that is not true. Cleverness has nothing to do with which age you live in as the poetry, resourcefulness and ability of many outstanding people bears adequate testimony.
May I also indicate that none of those mentioned--Dionysus, Osiris, Horus, Mithra or Krishna made anything like the claims made by Jesus Christ and backed them up, and, you've provided no evidence of what you call contradictions. And, by the way, Luke for one, a physcician by profession, wrote a beautiful account in his Gopsel and the Acts of the Apostles, having, as he said, 'examined all things closely from the beginning.' Of course, this is not to mention Paul (who was Saul the Pharisee and Doctor of Letters before conversion) who became a preacher of the Gospel he once despised and killed people for believing!
This book and what it contains will never be silenced. Many have tried. It calls, together with God's Holy Spirit, every one of us to a new way of living, found only in Jesus Christ. I pray that you 'lay down your arms' and yield to that Person!

It is only this silly book of fables which is the sole proof of your particular god.

This book proves a book exists - but no gods; in other words - get real and find some actual evidence for the claims of your god!

The existence of any jesus is irrelevant!

He was just some socialist hippy of the times, because without a god proven - your jesus is not important except as a figure-head for another fake religion.

Brien...I can tell you are sincerely committed to your position of UN-belief, as many are who resort to ridicule as you do.

My problem is that you clearly have not actually considered the Bible. Rather, for a reason I can’t discern, you have taken your position, not for reasons of REASON, but because of some fear—for example, of having the same ridicule levelled at you, or, for fear of where true investigation may lead...

We are all inclined to resort to ridicule as a cover for something else. I certainly am guilty. As Charles Simmons said ‘Ridicule is the first and last argument of a fool’ and we’ve all been guilty.

My problem is things like the 2 to 3 hundred prophecies, some quite specific in the historic Old Testament about Messiah, with so many fulfilled in the historic person, Jesus Christ.

There is of course, no way any amount of clever people could contrive to engineer this. Statisticians have put the odds at 10 to the power of 17. That’s 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000—but let’s suppose it was but one in ten million, that would still be a powerful reason to give serious consideration.

On the other hand, you are no doubt a believer in evolution. Yet the chance stated above pales away to utter insignificance compared to the statistical chances of any amino acids developing into life and DNA. Yet, I suspect you are prepared to believe it did!

So, it seems to me that REASON alone would dictate taking a closer look.

In other words - you cannot prove any god exists!

(all religions and cultures have prophecies - noone cares..!)

All you have is this one silly book - a historical novel - no different from Sherlock Holmes in London with Scotland yard - all stories within historical settings and people!

More important is that no one 'believes' in the sciences as the sciences are simply observation of facts ... peer reviewed facts!
something that you do NOT have - You have NO evidence for your god or any other god!
(you have just advertised to all your lack of education and your ignorance of real knowledge)

His perspective .....brings many insightful possibilities to the table. Especially moving are his heartfelt expressions of faith in and love for the prophets and the Savior of the world'.
Pastor, Luke Yeghnazar of the Iranian Church of Los Angeles: Wonderful book. I trust it will be distributed widely. I read it with excitement. The reader will want to know what happens next. An exciting book to be read by Christians, Jews and others.

What readers of THE PEOPLE are saying...
The People is an enthralling and innovative approach, not only to telling old familiar stories but using narrative to portray, in a subtle but powerful way, the truth of good and evil in our world . . . There is good and evil, God and Satan, and in every human relationship/interaction and behavior a choice is to be made. The consequences, for those with the spiritual eyes to see, are clear. It is an exceptional and well written piece of work.” Allan Bull, Macquarie University, Sydney.
