A site for those who know (or are discovering) that we can't live by sight alone--or by bread alone. Here, it is hoped, thirsty will find some water; hungry will find food, and restless find rest--in the Only One who offers all these to us all.

Ian is a pastor, bible teacher, author, businessman--
Oh, and a sailor!

Speaking of which...see the beautifull Catalina 34 MkII I've been privileged and blessed to own for a few years, here on a classic windward beat in a 14 knot sou-easter on Beautiful Pittwater, Sydney.

Ian is a member of the ACM Network (Associated Christian Ministries) http://acm.org.au/ in Australia and Sydney's Northern Beaches Christian Centre where he regularly ministers as well as in other churches.

Until we see? 'now we see but an enigma as in a glass, but then, face to face. Now I perceive but a portion; then I will know fully .....'  (1 Corinthians 13:12)

THE PEOPLE
The Sons of God
(through the eyes of a Watcher)

Writes Allan Bull (Macquarie University)...
"The People is an enthralling and innovative approach, not only to telling old familiar stories but using narrative to portray, in a subtle but powerful way, the truth of good and evil in our world . . . There is good and evil, God and Satan, and in every human relationship/interaction and behavior a choice is to be made. The consequences, for those with the spiritual eyes to see, are clear. It is an exceptional and well written piece of work.”

From Pastor Paul O'Sullivan, Founder of Northern Beaches Christian School, former Chairman of Associated Christian Ministries Australia and Pastor of Norther Beaches Christian Center...

Ian Heard’s book ‘The People’ is an eloquent and persuasive work of theological writing....Ian makes the case for the ‘Sons of God’ being in the line of Seth and the ‘Sons of Men’ comprising the ‘others’.... Shaqaad (the Watcher) respectfully puts the mystery of the heart of man to us as questions and observations, and Ian allows for the objective responses of the two streams to speak for themselves, where heart choice is always contingent....Ian’s treatise on this well trod debatable issue is more about spirituality of human mind and heart than it is about a dogmatic theology, as the issue has too many layers of the manifold wisdom of God to be hammered into dogma. Ian’s....Scriptural unfolding of Incarnation resolves all the issues as an overwhelming testimony of unbounded grace....of the invitation to humanity of the saving grace of The Lord Jesus Christ.

What if 'Temple Mount' is not the site of Jerusalem's ancient temples? What if the 'Western Wall' (Wailing Wall) is actually part of the ancient Fortress Antonia built to house a legion (5000 +) of Roman troops? What if the traditional location for Solomon's and the later temples is wrong?

So-called Temple Mount is the most contentious piece of real estate in the world. The Muslim shrine known as the Noble Sanctuary (Al-Haram-Al-Sharif) has stood there since about 691. But evidence that 'Temple Mount'  was neither Solomon's nor Herod's Temple site, grows. Marilyn Sams, E L Martin, Bob Cornuke and George Buchanan have written persuasively on this and now THE PLACE provides scriptural contexts and foundations for this extraordinary view. What then is the Biblical picture and evidence that the Temple was in the old City of David, near the fabled spring Gihon, known also as Shiloah--and how important is it? THE PLACE will surprise, stir and challenge. Get ready to be stretched! See more under Jewish Temple, Events and Blog pages on this site.

Writes Barry Buirski of Celebrate Messiah ministry, about THE PLACE;
'I Iove it, I love it, I love it !!! This book is The Place to find your Place!
..... I share the view that the temple in Jerusalem was more likely to be found in the city of David rather than where the present western wall is situated.'

From Marilyn Sams--author of 'The Jerusalem Temple Mount Myth'
'Ian Heard’s book adds a unique fictional aspect to the growing movement of people accepting the City of David location for the temples in Jerusalem. His perspective on how many biblical events converged at this location brings many insightful possibilities to the table. Especially moving are his heartfelt expressions of faith in and love for the prophets and the Savior of the world'.
