The Hebrew word CHUTS or KHOOTS, translated street, means that which is immediately outside the bounds of a house. He is speaking of residential streets, so the temple must have stood in Zion (in the City of David) surrounded by streets with houses—not out of town to the north on so-called Temple Mount.
